Island County Jail Roster Lookup

The Island County Sheriff's Office runs a live jail roster for all bookings into the Island County Jail. The roster lists every inmate currently in custody. It refreshes every three hours starting at midnight. To search, go to the Island County Jail Roster page and pull up the live report. You can view it in full screen mode for easier reading.

The roster page also links to Vinelink, the victim notification service. You can sign up by phone, email, text, or TTY to get alerts when a person's custody status changes. Vinelink has a desktop site and mobile apps for iPhone and Android. Note: Island County booking reports on the live roster do not include booking photos, so a public records request is needed for those.

Public Records Requests for Island County Booking Reports

For Island County booking reports beyond the live roster, file a public records request with the county. Starting June 3, 2024, Island County moved to the NextRequest platform. NextRequest replaced the old GovQA system. You can submit a request, track progress, and get email updates through the new portal. Visit the Island County Public Records page to start.

Public records requests in Washington follow RCW 42.56, the Public Records Act. To file, you need a name, a valid email, a clear description of the records, and a time period if possible. The county confirms receipt, may contact you for more info, and then sends the records as soon as it can. Some records get redacted under RCW 10.97. Booking photos and detailed reports often need this kind of request.
